I love walking and listening to the stories, with the crazy good and appropriate musical punctuation. BTW, what ever happened to Sarah Vowell? Not sure how Ira manages without his consigliere! But manage he does. Another BTW - be sure to check out "Serial." Its like TAL but one story told over a number of weeks. I just finished season 1 and cant wait to dive into season 2!

One of the best radio shows ever

Ive been listening for years, and I get excited to drive 30 minutes one way to work in rural Iowa so I can listen to half on the way and half on the way home. Like a reward. Love it.

It is pretty frustrating to pay for an app that simply does not work. Open it, select an episode, press play. Nothing. Reboot the app. Same thing. Reboot my phone. Same. I love TAL but this is horrible.

I cannot get enough of the storytelling style -- the next best thing is Serial.

I love this American Life, but the app barely functions.

Love the show but the app is impossible to work. Half of the time it doesnt work- I cant delete offline episodes, and the controls are often slow to respond.

Different versions have been more or less operational, but this will always be my favorite show and Ill take it anyway I can get it.

A colleague told me about this app two days ago and Ive listen to 16 hours of episodes! Its amazing. I wish I could go back to certain prays without starting over but otherwise, I live this app.

Always thought provoking and entertaining. The app is a great way to revisit my favorite episodes or discover past gems I never heard.

Like a lot of reviewers, Ive experienced issues with accessing the shows on the app. I tried reaching out for support but havent heard back. Im going to start looking elsewhere for old TAL episodes.

Huge fan of TAL and love being able to download episodes for offline access and search the archives for episodes prior to my discovery of TAP.

This used to be great but now doesnt work. When you try to go to app support the email address that is provided doesnt work.

This American life has impacted my life beyond my wildest imagination. I truly enjoy the wide variety of stories that this app provide. Weather it be the intense and interesting stories one hears or the edge variety of authors and stories told it never sees to amaze me. It has helped lift me out of many different grooves depression, anxiety etc. I often recommend it to many of my friends because weather your taking a walk, driving a far distance or just cleaning the house it always keeps me entertained.

I had to downgrade a star because what Im meant to be reviewing is the app, not the show; however, the redeeming qualities of the show far outweigh the amount of patience required to actually get an episode to play on the app!

Any way I can get the show is great, so having this option is way cool.
